The UltraWave combines the advantages of an aspheric lens with a lens made of biocompatible material.
The aspherical front surface significantly reduces aberrations. As a result, this lens corrects even minor astigmatisms down to cyl. -0.75 and increases depth of field and contrast in twilight.
The biocompatible material protects the lens much better against drying out. This results in noticeably better comfort for dry eyes, very long daily wear or dry room air.
According to the manufacturer, in the case of incipient presbyopia, when the first pair of reading glasses is needed in low strength, the strength of both lenses can be tried to increase by +0.50. Due to the increased depth of field, distance vision will hardly deteriorate but there will be a noticeable gain in near vision.
