PureVision 2 for Presbyopia - Trial Lens
Multifocal lens for distance and near vision made of silicone hydrogel.
This lens is the further development of the well-known "PureVision Multifocal".
The addition "low" is used for near additions of +1.00 to +1.50 Dpt.
The addition "high" is used for near additions of +1.75 to +2.50 Dpt.
For near additions above 2.50 Dpt. this lens type is only conditionally suitable.
Functional principle: simultaneous
This lens is the further development of the well-known "PureVision Multifocal".
The addition "low" is used for near additions of +1.00 to +1.50 Dpt.
The addition "high" is used for near additions of +1.75 to +2.50 Dpt.
For near additions above 2.50 Dpt. this lens type is only conditionally suitable.
Functional principle: simultaneous
With the simultaneous function principle, the distance effect is located in the centre and the near effect in the adjacent periphery of the contact lens or vice versa.
Due to the simultaneous placement of the distance and near zones in the pupil area, there is always a simultaneous (simultaneous) image of the distance and near zones. The currently undesired image (far or near) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.
A very small pupil opening or an off-center lens fit can affect visual performance.
