Modern, multifocal monthly lens made of highly gas permeable silicone hydrogel material for sharp vision at any distance.2 different additions (near additions) are available.
Functional principle: simultaneous:
In the simultaneous functional principle, the near effect is located in the centre and the distance effect in the adjacent periphery of the contact lens.
The simultaneous placement of the distance and near zones in the area of the pupil always results in a simultaneous (simultaneous) image of the distance and near zones. The currently undesired image (far or near) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.
A very small pupil opening or a decentered lens fit can impair visual performance.
