There are 3 different additions (near additions) available.
Functional principle: Simultaneous
With the simultaneous function principle, the near effect is located in the centre and the distance effect in the adjacent periphery of the contact lens.
The simultaneous placement of the distance and near zones in the area of the pupil always results in a simultaneous (simultaneous) image of the distance and near zones. The image that is currently undesirable (far or near zone) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.
A very small pupil opening or an off-center lens fit can impair visual performance.
