Patented Aquaform® Technology
CooperVision's exclusive Aquaform® Technology creates a naturally water-loving contact lens. CooperVision Avaira and Avaira toric are silicone hydrogel lenses with a natural wetting action.
Aquaform Technology uses longer siloxane chains, so the lens requires less silicone to achieve a high level of oxygen transmission. It also creates charged regions within the lens material that form hydrogen bonds with water molecules. This locks the water into the lens to support comfort and minimize deposits.
