Multifocal lens for distance and near vision.
The "low" addition is used for near additions of 1.00 to 1.50 Dpt.
The"high" addition is used for near additions of 1.75 to 2.50 Dpt.
This lens type is only suitable to a limited extent for near additions above 2.50 Dpt.

With the simultaneous operating principle, the distance effect is in the center and the near effect in the adjacent periphery of the contact lens or vice versa.
The simultaneous positioning of the distance and near zones in the pupil area always results in a simultaneous image of the distance and near zones. The currently unwanted image (far or near) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.
A very small pupil opening or a decentered lens fit can impair visual performance.
