PureVision 2 for Presbyopia
This lens is the further development of the well-known "PureVision Multifocal".
The addition "low" is used for near additions of +1.00 to +1.50 Dpt.
The addition "high" is used for near additions of +1.75 to +2.50 Dpt.
For near additions above +2.50 Dpt. this lens type is only conditionally suitable.
Functional principle: simultaneous
Due to the simultaneous placement of the distance and near zones in the pupil area, there is always a simultaneous (simultaneous) image of the distance and near zones. The currently undesired image (far or near) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.
A very small pupil opening or an off-center lens fit can affect visual performance.
