N = for the non-dominant eyeD
= for the distance dominant eye (leading eye)

Functional principle: simultaneous

With the simultaneous functional principle, the distance effect is located in the center and the near effect in the adjacent periphery of the contact lens or vice versa.

Due to the simultaneous placement of the far and near zone in the pupil area, there is always a simultaneous (simultaneous) imaging of the far and near zone. The currently undesired image (far or near) is ideally suppressed by the brain and not perceived.

A very small pupil opening or an off-center lens fit can impair visual performance.
