Mode of action:
Polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) provides safe disinfection of contact lenses and fights bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms. PHMB does not penetrate the contact lens material - thanks to its large molecular structure - and prevents toxic side effects.
Ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid disodium salt (EDTA) dissolves organic deposits and, as a chelating agent, ensures excellent tolerance. EDTA has a moisturizing effect and thus has a positive effect on the surface of the contact lenses.
Polysorbate 80 is a surface-active cleaning substance. Hydroxyethylcellulose forms a protein repellent protective layer and has has wetting properties. Taurine protects the cell membranes and keeps the light the light receptors intact. Taurine means fitness for the eye.
Application:
