CL 22
CL 22 is a sterile, isotonic solution for disinfecting - storing - cleaning of dimensionally stable, also gas permeable contact lenses. CL 22 is buffered to a pH value of approx. pH7.
CL 22 contains water-soluble polymers. As a carrier substance, they promote the detachment of impurities from the contact lens surface and increase wearing comfort due to their viscous character. The interaction of these components also significantly improves the wetting of the more or less hydrophobic surface of hard contact lenses.
CL 22 has a fungicidal and bactericidal effect due to polyhexanide - synergistically supported by the chelating agent sodium edetate.
